Long Beach Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, mission-driven candidate for the position of Principal for the 2026–2027 school year.
Long Beach Catholic School serves students from Nursery through Eighth Grade. The school is a part of the Beach Catholic community, consisting of St. Ignatius Martyr, St. Mary of the Isle, and Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal parishes. We are committed to developing a classical model of Catholic education rooted in truth, beauty, and goodness.
The Catholic school principal is the spiritual and instructional leader of the school, working in close collaboration with the Pastor and parish leadership to cultivate a deeply Catholic culture while overseeing the academic, operational, and communal life of the school.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Fostering a deeply Catholic environment that integrates faith into all aspects of school life
Leading the development and implementation of a classical Catholic curriculum and culture
Upholding and strengthening Catholic identity through prayer, liturgy, and sacramental life
Ensuring academic excellence across all grade levels
Leading, mentoring, and evaluating faculty and staff in both professional and spiritual growth
Promoting a culture of discipline and Christian formation rooted in traditional Catholic values
Communicating effectively with parents, faculty, parish leadership, and the broader community
Supporting enrollment and advancement efforts through clear messaging and strong school culture
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school in collaboration with parish leadership
Representing the school in public settings through media, marketing, and public relations efforts
Qualifications
A Faithful and Practicing Roman Catholic
Fully aligned with the teachings of the Catholic Church in belief and practice
Active participation in the sacramental life of the Church
Demonstrates a strong personal prayer life and commitment to Catholic education as a ministry
Educational and Professional Credentials
Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or Administration
Theology, Catechetical, and/or Business training, a plus.
New York State Certification (School Building Leader or School District Leader), or in progress
Formation in Catholic Educational Philosophy
Strong understanding of Catholic educational philosophy rooted in Scripture, Tradition, and the Magisterium
Familiarity with or experience in classical Catholic education models
Ability to articulate and implement a vision of education centered on formation of the whole person
Experience in Catholic Education
Minimum of 5-10 years of teaching experience, preferably in a Catholic school setting
Prior leadership experience preferred
Leadership and Communication
Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders
Working knowledge of public relations, marketing, and media engagement
Ability to promote and represent the school’s mission with clarity and conviction
