How can the Catholic Church meaningfully harness AI technologies, moving beyond hype and in alignment with mission? The complex landscape of AI development often leads to questions about the priorities of large tech companies - and what the downstream implications are for people using their tools. Longbeard is building Catholic AI to support the evangelizing mission of the Catholic Church. In this session, Lewis will meet with John Brahier with Longbeard to explore 1) the field of Catholic AI, 2) the functionality of Magisterium AI and Vulgate, and 3) some examples of how educators and students are currently using it to augment the teaching and learning of Catholic theology.
